Aptar Beauty and BVLGARI have won the Formes de Luxe Award 2026 in the Refill category for the Le Gemme Tygar Travel Spray, a luxury 10 ml fragrance packaging solution built around Aptar Beauty’s Nomad Refill technology.
The award was presented during the Luxe Pack Monaco ceremony on September 28, 2026, recognizing the packaging innovation, engineering and refill functionality developed through the collaboration between the two companies.
Le Gemme Tygar Travel Spray Wins in the Refill Category
The travel spray uses Aptar Beauty’s Nomad Refill technology, allowing consumers to refill the travel spray directly from a full-size fragrance bottle. According to Aptar Beauty, the process takes less than five seconds and is designed to minimize leakage and spillage.
The recognition highlights the growing role of refillable formats in luxury fragrance packaging, where brands are seeking to combine premium aesthetics with more convenient product-use systems.
Aptar Beauty and BVLGARI Collaborated for Two Years
The Tygar Travel Spray is the result of approximately two years of co-development between Aptar Beauty’s custom engineering teams and BVLGARI.
The collaboration focused on integrating Aptar Beauty’s dispensing and refill technology with BVLGARI’s distinctive luxury design requirements. The result combines specialized materials, decorative elements and a compact refillable fragrance system.
This approach allowed the companies to develop packaging that functions as both a fragrance dispenser and a premium luxury object.
Nomad Refill Enables Direct Refilling
A key feature of the packaging is Aptar Beauty’s Nomad Refill platform.
The system uses a patented integrated connector at the base of the travel spray. It is compatible with SNI15 screw-on neck finishes and creates a sealed connection between the travel spray and the full-size fragrance bottle.
The design is intended to make refilling simple and clean while reducing the risk of fragrance leakage during the transfer process.
Aptar Beauty describes Nomad Refill as the industry's first 10 ml purse spray designed for direct refilling from full-size perfume bottles in less than five seconds.
Luxury Materials Meet Functional Packaging
The Le Gemme Tygar Travel Spray combines refill technology with high-end materials.
The outer casing is made from black anodized aluminum and features gold decorative details. The package is topped with a Black Marquina marble cap, giving the compact fragrance spray a distinctive luxury appearance.
The use of natural marble also created technical challenges because each piece can have differences in color and veining. Aptar Beauty says its teams worked with BVLGARI to achieve consistency while integrating the marble with the aluminum casing and dispensing components.
Inspired by BVLGARI's Design Heritage
The packaging was developed around BVLGARI's established luxury design language.
Aptar Beauty says the outer case was inspired by visual elements associated with the BVLGARI boutique on Via Condotti in Rome. The black aluminum body, gold details and marble cap were selected to create a connection between the travel spray and the brand's broader luxury identity.
This demonstrates how modern packaging development increasingly combines engineering with brand-specific design and material choices.
Classic INUNE Pump Supports the Fragrance Experience
The travel spray incorporates Aptar Beauty's Classic INUNE prestige fragrance pump.
The pump uses an invisible POM-free mechanism and a metal-free formula pathway, which Aptar Beauty says helps support formula compatibility and olfactive neutrality. Its soft actuation is designed to produce a quick and fine spray.
This dispensing technology complements the refill mechanism by focusing on both the refill process and the everyday spraying experience.
Refill Packaging Gains Importance in Luxury Beauty
Refillability has become an increasingly important area of innovation in premium beauty and fragrance packaging.
